What does your research reveal? How does your research compare with the work of others? Is your research broad enough to ensure that you are capturing all the relevant factors? If you are a scholar, might your research benefit from the work of professionals in the field? Can you afford to ignore the expertise of practitioners on the ground?
If you are a government, company or NGO research officer, are you confident that you have captured all the relevant factors? Are you sure that you have not missed the deeper trends that perhaps scholars have more time to identify and analyse? If you are a journalist, should you not be comparing your reportage with the best expertise in the field and country that you work on? Who are these experts? Where can you find them? Come to the ASAA conference on 1-3 July 2008 to find the answers to your questions.
