Background
For almost 50 years ARRB Conferences have promoted and facilitated discussion of issues relevant to the transport industry, and new research being undertaken on the local and international scene. The ARRB Conference has been a biennial event since the first conference in Canberra in 1962. This is our 24th ARRB Conference and also coincides with the celebration of ARRB Groups 50th Anniversary.
The 2010 conference aims to bring together road and transport research advances from around Australia and the rest of the world. The conference will focus on building on 50 years of road and transport research.
A broad range of road and transport issues will be addressed through:
- Invited speaker sessions
- Technical sessions
- Workshops.
The conference will attract a wide range of professionals and decision makers across the road and transport industry in Australia and overseas. The 22nd ARRB Conference, held in Canberra in November 2006 attracted 770 people and the 23rd ARRB Conference, along with the 1st International Sprayed Sealing Conference, held in Adelaide in August 2008 attracted 610 people.
The 24th ARRB Conference will be held immediately after the 2nd International Sprayed Sealing Conference to allow delegates to get the most out of their visit to Melbourne. A reduced registration rate applies to delegates attending both.
